OK, then, here are the facts...

In Response To: Re: Restocking Fees Question (Stephen)

Fact #1...
Call the UPS phone # (1 800 PICK UPS). Follow the instructions and prompts. What you want to do is tell the system to leave the package at the pickup center and do not attempt to deliver it anymore. Have the note they left ready. You will need to have the reference # on it. When you get there to pick it up, they will require a photo ID in order to be able to sign for it and take it with you.

Fact #2...
You assumed that UPS drivers quit at 5PM. Not True. They quit when the work for the day is done.

Fact #3...
Packages going to commercial addresses get delivered with priority in any given day. Residential is secondary. Had you had it sent to your work address, you'd have received it. Well, that is if you work 9-5.

Fact #4...
NewEgg is not a traditional retailer with a traditional retailer's business model. they do not buy product, mark it up and make a profit. They actually sell AT their cost or even BELOW their cost. They make money on kickbacks from the manufacturers. To complain about a restocking fee when they have to protect themselves and their bottom line when it was no fault of theirs is not very realistic.

Fact #5...
Sorry, there are no more facts at this point. Check back later.

There you have it. You wanted the facts, you got 'em!
