There's GOT to be something wrong out there!
My youngest moved to CA last fall with his wife & son.
Thursday afternoon he & his wife got a note from school... "Your son will be receiving a very special award tomorrow morning during general assmbly. Please make an effort to be here.
Well, the were.. And, Dylan received a "Good Citizenship" award. Not bad for a 12-year old from TN.
Now then, here's the BEST part. Friday afternoon, said Grandson received DETENTION!
Why? Because, as a young man growing up in Tennessee, he is taught manners and respect. Not so in California.. It's against the law!
Seems that my grandson went up to introduce himself to a new kid in school. Stuck out his hand, and said.. "Hi, I'm XXXX". Teacher saw him, reported him, and he was put in dentention for "Touching".
You people HAVE to be more than half-a-bubble off when it becomes against school rules to introduce yourself and shake hands.
That was ALMOST as funny as the day that Dee came home & told Dad he wasn't allowed to play with the kids next door anymore. Seems the poor boy told the kids about how his dad used to take him hunting. Next door neighbor allowed as how his kids should stay away from the "Kid from Tennessee. They own guns, and could be murderers!"
Talk about a tree full of idiots!
