Sorry, I just can't help it.
Many times I suspect people who buy Corey's course of copying it before they return it (I think a three-ring binder is a terrible way to package a product for that very reason, but who am I to argue with the rich and famous??).
Anyhoo, there have been a couple of times I know for *sure* that's what they did, because I have seen them say, in public forums, how good the course is.
It burns me up, but I have nothing to do with the returns so I just grind my teeth.
But THIS... the thief actually sent you the wrong course with a receipt to prove it, kinda like the bank robber who writes his stick-up note on his own deposit slip.
I know the customer is always right, but this is just too much.
Here's what I would do:
1. I would tell him you will refund his money if he returns the right course; you are keeping this one as evidence.
2. I would tell him if you receive the original course back, you will do him the favor of not filing charges against him for copyright violation.
3. And I would tell him Kinko's has STRICT policies against illegally copying copyrighted materials and you're sure they'll be happy to know about this. (They are legally responsible for this, and they don't take any chances; my husband works at a Kinko's, and they're forever calling the owner of various originals [photos, documents, etc.] for a written release.)
GEEEEZ!!!
I almost feel sorry for the guy -- kinda like when you say nasty things in an email and accidentally send it off to the person you're talking about.
