I am talking about unscrupulous internet marketers.
The definition of unscrupulous is...
"Having or showing no moral principles; not honest or fair."
Being unscrupulous does not necessarily mean that you are a scammer or a criminal but rather unethical and immoral and untrustworthy. Lack of integrity.
So basically I am talking about those marketers that are good at basically telling you that their product does this and that for you but when you buy it, it is very cut-rate. Like for instance an ebook that does not have all the info they stated it would or has a lot of broken links, etc. Or like a software program that is supposed to do A, B, and C for you but in reality it it does but not without the use of other programs that cost mega bucks and they failed to mention that in the sales page.
I say this is unscrupulous and not really a scammers and criminals because so many marketers do this. They make you think you are getting all this stuff but the product is not even half as capable as they made it seem. It seems to me that this is not a crime because some of the best-known marketers on the internet have been doing this for years.
I have seen many of these folks on especially the warrior forum and I have bought many of these product (only to get my money back). And it just seems to me that the bulk of the marketers that are selling cut-rate products in an unscrupulous manner seem to come from Canada and Australia.
I guess another trait is that they are very slimy. Slimy in that they tend to play on your emotions more than others do in order to get you to buy.
For instance, last month I bought a program from a Australian marketer that was supposed to do 3 major things. When I got the program it only did one of the three things it was supposed to do. When I asked why the other things could not be done I was told that the program was still being developed and it would be about 3 months or so until it would be ready to perform the other tasks. this guy happens to be from.
About 10 days ago I bought an ebook from an Australian marketer that was supposed to contain "professional"magic tricks. When I bought the ebook and read it I found out that these were very childish "tricks" that were essentially only found impressive by grade-schoolers. Not really magic tricks. Australia also.
These are just 2 examples as of recently. I have been burned by many Canadian and Australian marketers in the span of 10 years not to mention that I see them all over the internet forums and they seem to be the most unscrupulous in the way they market their products.
Well, like i said, I have noticed and experienced this all over the course of 10 years or so. I have bought many products on the net like ebooks and software in that time. When I happen to notice that a marketer is from Australia or Canada, I tend to shy away from them unless I know for sure that the product is what it is supposed to be from what other customers say.
Oh well. I had a feeling I would not be met with others who had my experience. I just wanted to find out, though. Still, I usually stay away from marketers from these 2 countries from my bad experiences with them
Don;t get me wrong, I have had bad experiences with other marketers from other countries, but the rate of unscrupulousness tends to be far greater in Canada and Australia.

> However, that's just because the main language that I read is English.

PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT. It has been done before, but never successfully. In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace. NEWS FLASH: I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday. I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish. I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?). I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!" Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures. Although we may, from time to time, monitor or review discussions, postings and the like on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, we are under no obligation to do so. You are likewise prohibited from posting any false claims against any company or individual. We will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity of anyone posting any such information or materials. If you cannot accept or agree with the terms of service for this website and discussion board, you are advised not to post on this board. In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact. And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!). |
