In Response To: Ten+ years in the business, thanks. (Jimbo)

Jimbo,

I consider your info correct to a certain extent. I started in the jewelry business back in 1977 working in my families jewelry & gift shop. I haven't counted that as my direct experience related to what I posted on the discussion board but I do count that as viable experience in the field of the retail/wholesale industry. My response was to the fact that it seemed the norm to accuse anyone new to this website/dicsussion as a scammer if they didn't post on a regular basis or had a idea that counters the views of the regulars here. I do agree it is hard to judge someone if you don't know them, but I do detatch myself from the mindset that states "from one post I will know this person's intent." This to me flies in the face of good common sense.

So to make this a reasonable response to what I felt was harsh judgement I posted a reply to that fact. I again state I don't know you but do understand business that I'm in. I've studies enough to know that there are three diffeent type of people in the world today.

There is the poor (whether by choice or chance) that collect stuff to fill their lives with meaning.

There is the middle class that live in a state of liability due to the fact that if they lose their income they lose their living status.

There is the wealthy that know to utilize leverage so their money works for them instead of the opposite. This means using OPE & OPM. If you consider this to be false I would aks "why does 2% of the population own 65% of the wealth in the USA?"

Wealth building MUST follow those same success laws no matter what field your in. Team building is utilized in every facet of life. If you don't know this I feel sorry for you. If this is NOT true then explain to me these facts:

Any successful law office knows that the ONLY way to increase their profits is to BUILD A TEAM of competent legal advisors that then share in the overall income of that business. That may pertain to 60% to 40% or 50% to 50% profit share, a direct partnership with others in that field, hiring paralegals that train for advancement, creating a reputation that draws interest, etc.

Any successful real estate company knows that the ONLY way to increase their sales is to BUILD A TEAM of agents that know the market, work as a network to cover a certain area, utilize the experience of each individual as a whole to expand their knowledge base, etc.

Any successful investor knows that the ONLY way to minimize the risk of investing and increase the ROI is to diversify their investments into a number of different stock options while utilizing a NETWORK of soucres that have a good knowledge of the market and BUILD A TEAM between others in the filed that share info with each other as to what is HOT and what is not.

So as you state that team builing is just another MLM or downline I state you have went through life with your eyes closed!

As to my "Gemtastic 3-Level Wealth System" website I do know that it needs work, but to say that it looks like a scam is NOT only false it's not based on any viable information. That system has worked well to return every member that invested at least 3 to 5 times their initial investment!

My comments are here for close examination to anybody with GOOD JUDGEMENT!

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

By posting messages and/or content on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, you give permission for Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications to display, distribute and use the posting and content for publication, advertising, promotion, excerption or example.         In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
