All points well taken. I guess it becomes a simple matter of so much negative cancelling out any potential positive. Sort of like a simple math equation. If you are deeply enough in the hole then even when a positive gets added you stay there.
Yes some of Bluto/Paul's advice is actually solid. Even the blind dog finds a bone every once in awhile in a fenced in yard. Most of his advice isn't based so much on assisting others as it is on other uncertain motivations.
In reality I guess it comes down to the old adage about earning respect and then maintaining it. I have made my fair share of mistakes both online and off. I openly admit this and I own them. Bluto/Paul seems to have a hard time with that one important concept.
Was his post really all that off base regarding established article directories? Nope, it wasn't. But given the history between he and I it isn't a far stretch to see, regardless of whose site OAC is, what the true motivation of his post might have been. Thus my reply to his post.
Bottom line is really simple, Maw. I hold your opinions in an immeasurably high regard. I eagerly follow any advice you might offer. Bluto/Paul's advice/opinions are of little or no value to me personally. And sadly, because of his past actions here, there are probably a lot more people who would make the same statement. He owns that one. Perhaps the saddest part is that he loses all of the potential of actually being a positive contributor by being so offensive so often and he does not seem to care. What a waste.....
