I never sold vacuums but my brother did for a while in the 80s. I would not say it is a scam but a lesson in sales and how to close a sale. These vaccums are better quality then the store bought units. I bought a COMPACT 11 years ago and have used it without problem. This unit came with a 25yr guarantee and as far as I can see you get what you paif for.
