My PERSONAL OPINION about Fountains of Fortune and Kimberly Bollmann and her fiance James...

Posted By: MaaMaw
Tuesday, 4 October 2005, at 6:35 a.m.

What follows is my PERSONAL OPINION, which I am allowed to express by virtue of the Constitution of the U.S. of A.

Last week was a "first" for me:  I told a mom with our homeschool group to get out of my house.  It was the right thing to do... and so is this:

Kimberly, you are welcome to post here, but you are not welcome to post your email address (which has been removed from all your messages) or any links (which I see you have not been posting because you knew it was futile) or any reference to your company(ies), program(s), or product(s).

I will NOT promote you or your products on this board in any way, and I will not allow YOU to promote yourself or your products on this board in any way.

Please don't feel you are being discriminated against:

I have no doubt there are people on this board whose links contain questionable if not downright shady "opportunities," but as long as they are not specifically posting about said "opportunity," I don't look for them, and they do not show up on my radar screen.

You have been on my radar for a very long time.

Tony was asking about your company, Fountains of Fortune.  I have NO PERSONAL KNOWLEDGE of Fountains of Fortune, but I have enough background to know I personally wouldn't touch it -- or anything else with "Kimberly & James" written all over it -- with a 110-foot pole.

On your web site, you say:

>> "James and Kimberly created this program because they were so sick and tired of other companies out there treating their customers poorly and promoting questionable products." <<

Which "questionable products" are those?  Are they the SAME "questionable products" you promoted through Emerald Passport?  Are they the SAME "questionable products" that you claim raked in $25,000 to $35,000 a MONTH for "James and Kimberly"??

On your web site, you say:

>> "James and Kimberly just couldn't take seeing this anymore!" <<

Oh mercy no!

But I notice you never answered my "GOT GUILT?" question here (if you click that link and get "no message," it's in Ye Olde Archives here).

What about those people... did you hunt them down and refund their money if they hadn't been able to at least recoup their investment?

>> " So their search began for a valuable product." <<

Personally, I prefer to make sure I'm selling a "valuable product" before I start taking money from people -- especially large quantities of money (the $1,295 you were taking may seem like peanuts to someone earning $25,000 to $35,000 a month, but for some, it's a fortune).

What's that?  You didn't KNOW you were selling a product that might have been "less than valuable"?

Oh, but you did.  You were told again and again and AGAIN on this board (and I suspect on many others, but that's pure speculation) that you were peddling crap.  You didn't listen.

That leads me to conclude that you weren't here to gather information and opinions and participate in our little community at all but, rather, to (gasp!) peddle your program and generate leads from this busy, busy board full of newbies and wannabes and opportunity seekers.

So you started Fountains of Fortune because you wanted to offer a TRULY valuable product... but that isn't what you said in this post (if that link comes up empty, it will be in Ye Olde Archives here).  In that message, you said you started Fountains of Fortune...

>> "because the program I was promoting (proven concepts) went under and my team still had many orders coming" <<

You've promoted so many programs that I'm thoroughly confused, so I won't comment on that statement.  As I recall, in this message (or this one if it's rolled into the archives), you didn't mention that the company had "gone under" but that they had stripped you of your downline because you broke their rules... but I guess you could be talking about something entirely different; I confess to completely losing track.

In any case, this is the mother of all confessions, as far as I'm concerned... written by you on your very own web site (which, interestingly, no longer exists):

Clicky-doodle (screenshots and everything!)

Kimberly, my PERSONAL OPINION is that it is unwise to believe anything you say at this point, so I will not allow ANY of your "opportunities" to be promoted directly, indirectly, or sideways on my board.

Luv,

MaaMaw

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

Although we may, from time to time, monitor or review discussions, postings and the like on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, we are under no obligation to do so.  We are not responsible or liable for any claim arising from the content of any such discussions or postings or for any error, defamation, libel, slander, omission, falsehood, obscenity, pornography, profanity, danger, or inaccuracy contained in any information contained within such locations on the Site.
You are prohibited from posting or transmitting any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, or profane materials or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.  You are likewise prohibited from posting any false claims against any company or individual.  We will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity of anyone posting any such information or materials.
By posting messages and/or content on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, you give permission for Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications to display, distribute and use the posting and content for publication, advertising, promotion, excerption or example. You grant Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications complete, perpetual, but non-exclusive rights to use, archive, reproduce, adapt, modify, distribute, sub-license, repurpose, rework, compile, or offer for sale or resale the messages, postings or content appearing on this site in whole or in part, throughout the world and universe, on a royalty-free basis without remuneration.  If you cannot accept or agree with the terms of service for this website and discussion board, you are advised not to post on this board.
In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
