GOT GUILT??? (or is it Milk?) --

In Response To: Hmmmmmm. (Bill Carton - the Roadie)

Roadie, I too find the whole thing very suspicious (and I should mention, judging by the email, that we are not alone).

I decided to sit tight for a bit and see what develops, because Kimberly is being so... well, KimberlyNice.

I don't buy the "multiple-six-figure" story as far as I can spit a Milk Dud (which, of course, I would never do because I would never waste a perfectly good chocolate anything, but I digress).

I agree with P. Drammel that there is no point in going after a company in Panama (which I believe we have all warned people about ad pukium).

I suspect this is all leading somewhere, but I don't want to point any fingers so I'm going to hold my tongue for now.

HOWEVER...

This is what I would like to hear (and if I had fessed up like Kimberly did, it would have been the first thing out of my mouth):

WHAT ABOUT ALL THE PEOPLE YOU SCREWED?

Not knowingly of course -- but the people who bought the product through you and James and are now in someone else's downline, buying all the motivational crap and pouring more and more money into their businesses hoping to make some money (if not get filthy rich like you two have) (maybe I'm overstating, but to me, that kind of money qualifies as "filthy rich").

Have you contacted each and every one of them to find out if they have at least recouped their investment?

If not, have you offered them a refund out of your personal funds?

That's what I would do if I made as much money as you two, because my conscience would demand it.

And if I couldn't afford to refund the whole amount (which you obviously can), I would at least refund my commission.

In fact, I did just that once. I telemarketed a babysitting service for a company that flew the coop. Fortunately I was a rotten salesperson, and only two people sent in the cash (the other handful hadn't gotten around to it yet), and I refunded their money out of my own *EMPTY* pocket.

It's the right thing to do.

AND...

I would *love* to hear about the fake testimonial -- you know, the one where you forgot to change the name from Kimberly and James before you posted it??

I know any newcomers must just think Roadie and I are the *NASTIEST* people in the world, but ya kinda had to be here.

Luv,

MaaMaw

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

By posting messages and/or content on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, you give permission for Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications to display, distribute and use the posting and content for publication, advertising, promotion, excerption or example.         In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
