Good for ya! You are in good company (after all MaMaw is in there ;-). You can't go wrong with $50. (I mean my NFA registration just to do business is $85 and there is no guarantee that I will make any money in the end....)
The $50 is yours and it can grow, grow better than the SS, savings, CD rate or stock market.
One thing to keep in mind - multiple source of income. Do not put all your eggs in one basket!!!!
