Hi, Diane,
I really feel for you and your Dad. I'm sure Susan will be glad to help you with placement or other service suggestions so I'll take a different tack...
Your Dad is feeling very helpless so...he needs to be reminded of what he CAN do and what he has to work with. He has a fine mind, no doubt, if he's been working 2 jobs, and he has a mouth so he can talk, eyes that can smile approval and lots of information (especially how-to info) in that fine mind he could pass on to others who'd be eager to listen and learn. He needs to be busy and feel useful using what he can as he can. See what you can work out and watch the improvement.

Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.
