There is ample evidence of the shortage now "fueling" high gas prices.
China has increased demand each of the past 7 years and that demand continues to build at a rate of 15 to 30 percent per year. Automobile ownership in china is skyrocketing. The total number of privately owned automobiles will increase 90 fold between 1995 and 2010.
Production has been cut in Nigeria by 26% and by over 50% in Iraq.
Here in America looking at short term causes for the most recent increases, demand is currently up due to the beginning of the traditional increase in driving during the spring/summer vacation season. Couple that with the fact that US reserves have dropped for the last 6 weeks in a row (last weeks drop was 3.9 mm barrels) and 10 of the last 13 weeks.
You just don't get it, Jim. I realize that you have a burning need for there to be a big conspiracy to marginalize the people you view as victims.
