Thanks to EVERYONE who responded to my Need Advice
post. I was so grateful for all the responses so
far. All of your posts were so helpful, and made
me feel like I wasn't so alone.
I have been in such a funk lately, ok - clinically depressed.
Being handicapped is such a horrible transition to adjust to.
Knowing it won't be going away is what is really distressing.
I'm used to being the "helper" all my life, not the "helped".
My whole business life has been so turned upside down!
Have actually had nightmares of sitting on a corner with a
tin cup or "will write poetry for food" sign. I know that
I am not the only one going through an ordeal like this, and
eventually I will adjust....but having FOLKS LIKE YOU who take the
time to offer advice is what helps me feel "hopeful".
All the advice so far has been uplifting. Lots of sites to go
to and study. Free services to help me, suggestions for memory.
You really are a candle in a cave for me!
I know I am getting long winded here (see what happens when I
crawl out of my box?) but want to mention one more thing. I
know you already know it but I think sometimes it gets taken
for granted, and that is this: The posters on this board help
so many without ever realizing how many people they have educated.
I am a drive by lurker and I know there are TONS of people that
are. On behalf of all of them who never post to say thanks....
