While I do not sell on eBay, I have had experience buying yard sale items and taking them to the flea market. Plus my mother was a collecter of depression ware. You can find some good deals at yard sales BUT you need a knowledge about what is real and reproduction, there are a lot of repos out there now. It takes a lot of research to find out the difference. Also is there a market for those items. I have a friend that has a antique shop, does estate sales and is a ebayer. She has done very well but she works very hard. It also depends on what part of the country you live in as to what you may find to resell.
As in any business, you have to stick to it, I believe you said in one of your posts, most people fail because they get excited at first then don't follow through. Perserverance, positive attitude, and networking with people in your field (IMHO) are the keys to success. I may be new to interent marketing but I have done a lot of things, like reselling at flea markets and real estate investments in buying fixer uppers and reselling. My last house sale has allowed me to do what I want with my stained glass. BUT IT IS VERY HARD TO MAKE A LIVING at it unless you have money to start with.
To quote Dr Phil "Winners do things that losers never would do" I liked that. Good luck with whatever you decide, just keep one foot in front of the other and don't give up too soon, but know when it is time to change directions. Carla
p.s. I searched for me on MSN and was the number one listing on the first page and while I was researching my site builder to change the size of the page so some people do not have to scroll left and right, I found a tool to add meta tags and hidden key words to my site. Thanks again for your help, I hope I helped you in some way.
