Both of you have excellent points, there are always two sides to every story. My problem with part of Mels plan, is there are not many shows in my area and I can not travel for several reasons. What I have done so far has been face to face. I visited the art gallery and presented my work to her. Then I had to stop producing because of my mother. In the last month I have went to a local lady that has a small retail business and a art gallery/frame shop. I took several samples and my laptop with a slideshow of my work and my business card. They are going to let me sell in their shops. After my remodel, I plan to visit a larger town 20 miles away and do the same thing as I did with the others.
My biggest problem is I don't have any inventory to sell on line yet, it is all at the locations, That will come after the remodel. So during the next 2 months I want to learn everything I can about internet marketing. I have also contacted several artists who were using directory sharing links, SEO and sites that let you sell on their sites for a fee. Unlike ebay, these sites are directly related to stained glass or art in general, craft and fine art.
Mel is right( in her post farther down the board) about computer time and art time, you can't do both at the same time- or can you? I want to try. I have spent 30 years with real jobs, punched a clock and have worked for several great people. I learned from each one. Now it is time for me to make this work. Not all artists are negative about business, but yes we would rather be doing our craft. > So thank you Mel for your input too. So since I can't do shows, one- no inventory right now or opportunity for the shows and two can't travel, I will try the internet along with what I am already doing. I am always open to new ideas- Thanks Carla
Thank you Bluto, I know I have to market online as well as off. As I said

| PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT. It has been done before, but never successfully. In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH: I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday. I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish. I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?). I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
