I was approached about this maybe 6 weeks ago by a friend who is a true MLM junky. This is his 17th,or so, attempt and up to this time, has made very little in his endeavors. He is, however, making some serious money with this; so far around $10K in a couple months. I believe it to be true.
Now, when he approached me, he was new and had not made much at that point.
I had/have no interest in promoting it and get the shakes thinking about MLM. :)
This past week I was approached by 2 more friends who gave me the updated earnings for my original friend.
My friends have indicated that they are realizing actual increases of 25%-30% in mileage in their own cars. I know these people and have no reason to doubt their veracity.
Samples have been offered to me but I do not have them yet and am undecided if I will try it.
Being a numbers person, here are my rough calculations on net dollar savings after the cost of the pills.
Assume 17 mpg before treatment, gas cost $2.50/gallon and pills around $1.50 each which treat 8 gallons. 25% increase is 22.5 mpg and 16 gallon tank.
16 gal fillup X $2.50/gal=$40 and 272 miles (14.7 cents per mile). A 25% increase is 340 miles (11.76 cents per mile.)
Add 2 pills @ 1.50 each to the $40 gas cost=$43. New cost per mile=12.64 cents per mile. You would save about 2 cents per mile net.
So, if you drive 15,000 miles per year, you would save around $300 for the year or $5.77/week.
Economically, you would have to decide if that is worth it you.
Other considerations could be environmental and reducing the dependence on foreign oil.
All of this supposes that no harm will be done from using the stuff.
This "opportunity" is a binary. There are several entry levels. If you want to retail, it's around $30 and if you want to build it's around $500.
Like I said, I have no interest in MLM opportunities but there is some real money being made with this.
I doubt if it's a long term thing. One of the friends who is a fairly successful MLMer said he's doing it for some quick cash and suspects it may have a run of a couple years.

PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT. It has been done before, but never successfully. In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace. NEWS FLASH: I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday. I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish. I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?). I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!" Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures. In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact. And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!). |
