As of this posting, that Acne ebook is the #5 bestseller in the health section at ClickBank, so

In Response To: Who's going to buy a BOOK to cure acne? (DNO) (Tracy)

it is apparent that the ebook sells and that there is a market for it.

Just because you would never buy an ebook on a certain topic, it does not mean that there is not market for it or that the market is too small.

Phil. Not sure if anyone mentioned this here, but the fact of the matter is, you cannot just give up because your first attempt was a failure.

It's absurd to think that since your first $100 dollars (or even $1,065) spent on advertising that brought in no sales means that the product simply does not sell. There are so many factors that could be the cause of your "failure". And quite frankly, anyone who tells you that is simply a newb who just does not understand much about mktg, advertising, or even business in general.

I tell people all the time. You cannot go into business realistically with just a hundred or a few hundred dollars without expecting that you will fail. Most people need a lot more than that in capital and in marketing/advertising budgets to actually test and try everything you can in order to find out if you can sell a product or not. Practically NO product sells itself. YOU have to sell it and you have to market it in the right way to the right folks. Just because you spend money on ads for the most popular keywords related to your product, that does not mean that you are marketing it the right way to the right people. Don't be fooled into thinking otherwise. The only way you can say (after spending money on advertising) that it is the product's fault is if you are a master marketer and you know for a fact that what you did was the best way to go about it.

You need to spend more money and figure out what you need to do in order to make sales. Test, test, test and retest. Marketing and advertising without testing is foolish and a waste of money.

You also need to target your audience better when asking for affiliate marketing help (this could also be your problem in your product marketing as well - very possible). NO offense to anyone, but when asking about business scams, ask FIB. When asking about acne problems, as an acne forum. So therefore, when asking about marketing problems, your best bet will be to ask your questions on marketing forums. Not that you won't get answers elsewhere, but your chances are very slim if you target the wrong group with the wrong questions.

Well, sorry for the choppy post but I am in a hurry. And please do not take offense. ANYONE. I meant no offense at all.

Bluto

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

By posting messages and/or content on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, you give permission for Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications to display, distribute and use the posting and content for publication, advertising, promotion, excerption or example.         In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
