Yours probably isn't the same as mine -- I'm not implying that it is -- but I had Mohs on the tip of my nose. (Like I said before, if it had been melanoma I would have wanted something more drastic, but in case yours isn't melanoma either, I wanted to mention that.)
True, there isn't much to work with on the tip of a nose, but I had three levels of Mohs right on the tip and it healed up really well.

I had my first two done in S. Calif. and both times I had all my courses done in one sitting. I had my third one done in N. Calif. by a different dermatologist (well duh), and I had all three courses in one sitting. They read the slides right in the office so I didn't have to go home half finished.
The only reason I'm mentioning this is that a lot of people feel uncomfortable asking for a second opinion, but it's never wrong to get one. Oftentimes you'll end up confirming what the original doctor said and going back to him/her -- but you might hear something completely different that could make a really big difference to you.
I believe second opinions are so very important when it's something serious, and if I didn't pass that along I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight. Please forgive me for sticking my nose in where it doesn't belong.
