Hey Leslie and Tom,
The only way I could think that "garbage" might get into visiting pc's might be through the links; both those placed into the actual post as well as those in the sig files.
I too have visited and clicked onto a link out of interest and had my alarms sound to warn me that "garbage" was trying to get in. This is literally the only time that I have ever had an problem. And in reality it was my fault because afterall I was the one who opted to click the link and explore.
For the record also, nothing (knock wood) ever completely got through. Yes I have some protection running but probably no more than Sandy.
In the end I believe it might actually be worth contacting Sandy to ask her what in the world she is referring to. I don't think she would just make that statement without reason or justification. Either way, contacting her should tell you a lot; if she does reply and tell you where the problems were, great! Now you know where to start in order to address the problem. And if she doesn't, well that would also tell you a great deal too. In the end in either case you would rest easier knowing what was going on.
