8 week update.....

Hi all,

I just been to see the housing dept at the local council, shocking really, they say they can't do anything, mainly because my son's don't live wiith me.
They say they will look into it once I am homeless.!! Far too late then.
So.. move on from that.. :-/

The new place is going to cost aroound £1000 to move into, thats the deposit, rent in advance.
I am going to look at the as positive as I can, one way is to move nearer to my son's to enable me to see them more over the week, that will also help free up time at the weekends to get working harder.

At the age my son's are they will soon be wanting to see ther mates in the weekends, so.. thats an idea that will work for us all.

I am still looking to see if I can get any stone work, carving, lettercutting etc. If I am lucky, I may be able to get a place that has a garden, shed or garage, that would enable me to do some stone work at home.
I will build a site showcasing any stone work I have done, that may help alot.

Someone quipped to me yesterday, that "people don't stop dying" so headstones are one way to go... sad but true.
Though there are others here already established in that area.

I have filled the disability allowance forms in, as I am deaf, though I was shocked to be asked to "prove" I am deaf, "a docs note" they say..
Yeah I know....unbelievable, more so when I am sat there with hearing aids in.!!
This will also give me some help in other areas in life, like a texttalk phone, a light connected to the doorbell.. etc.

Thats a domain I have though I am not so good at building pages yet.. any tips would be great..

I am learning with fp2000, will learn dw once I get sorted, and can do it.

If I can get that page done, I maybe able to sell ad space to local firms, and that may help alot.
Add newsletter for locals onto that. :-)

Other than that I have to just keep plugging away.

Being deaf and unable to use a phone, I feel very lucky to be able to "talk" to others online, and it has opened a world for me.

I hope to get this sorted sooner than later.
As my landlord clearly stated, if I have'nt got somewhere its tough.. I'll be homeless, so it is a matter of seriousness.
I hope that goes someway to explaining what I hope to get done.
