One of the first things you need to learn is beginning HTML. Don't let that scare you, it's simply a method of learning "tags" that you place content in.
The main reason that I recommend learning HTML is that once you decide on a method of building webpages, if you use a WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) HTML editor, you'll be able to make changes, and most importantly, UNDERSTAND the code that you see.
Here's a good site to begin Learning HTML that will show some of the basic tags.
Your public library should have some books on how to build webpages. If not, the Internet is full of web site building information. At first, you'll feel overwhelmed (I did) and wonder if you'll ever get the hang of it. Just keep plugging away, learning a little each day, and soon you'll understand the gist of it.
Who is your Internet Service Provider? Most ISP's these days give you a webhosting account as part of their package.
You won't be able to learn it all in a day, so take little baby steps, learning what you can each day. Make learning HTML your main priority. Print out the HTML tags for reference Get it here and keep it around for reference. I've got mine hanging on the wall in my office. It helps when you need a quick refresher.
If you get lost, or need help, I'm sure MaaMaw won't mind you coming here and asking for help. (I'd check with her first)
As far as you asking questions... that shows an active mind wanting to learn. You'll do it. Hang in there.
