I've decided to have a closer look (meaning I've downloaded) NVU on both of my machines based on what's been said here about it. So far, it looks like it has promise but--- a good knowledge of HTML is a big help because these WYSIWYG editors seem to be a bit limited, and knowing some HTML will be a HUGE help in getting what you really want as your finished product.

I run Front Page 2000 here, and its limitations forced me to get some books and write my own pages some time back. The end result is that I do all of my actual writing in Notepad, and Front Page is used mostly as a spell check tool. Somebody suggested Dreamweaver, but unless you have $400.00 that you're not needing or unless you're a professional website developer that price seems a little dear for a one-off site. So far, I like what preliminary experiments are showing me with NVU, so it may take over as the preferred tool instead of Front Page.
