Even if it won't work on '98 (BTW, what happened? Won't install? Not compatible?) since you sell a product, your commissions may be being lost or stolen by BHO's or cookie deletions.
If you have a mailing list, spread the word and get others involved. Post on other forums. Spread the word.
The more people that use this software, the more the commission thieves and BHO's will lose. They may even have to resort to building a webpage, provide legitimate content, and actually WORK instead of riding on our backs and stealing our commissions, or zapping our cookies and taking away our hard-earned money.
It's about time a big player got involved in the spyware/BHO ripoff game. With Microsoft coming in, and recognizing that honest, hardworking affiliates and product salespeople were being stolen blind by devious companies, they actually built a software app that works for us.
The sooner the active-x drivebys, BHO's, parasites, and Norton killers are stopped, the safer the web will be for all of us. I'm willing to bet our affiliate commissions will jump up dramatically when legitimate cookies are allowed and parasites are killed.
I feel that this is a long-overdue move to bring the playing field back to where little guys like us can compete honestly with the big boys without some sneaky application coming in and stealing our commissions.
Now, if they could just do something about spam...:)
