I'm gonna take the other side of this issue and be the advocate
*sorry i just couldn't say devil's advocate* 8-)

if they attach their business to the word "christian" and they truely
are christians then they do have a added responsiblity before God and they know it. Especially if they are asking for money. More about that in the P.S. below

well I did a search on ebay and there are some folks who say they are
approved and I also did a completed item search and the crosses are selling.
This ought to lift the "SCAM ISSUE" in and of itself.

Now you must know how much I've already lost on here. $69.95 is my birthday present.

so you give supplies of 2 or 3 crosses to organizations across the area you live in. Could be say a good 5000 people or more or are you suggesting he start out small? How long is that going to take to get help? supplies to 6000 people at 3 crosses each is a lot of cash to dish out only to find out half or one third are actually participating. Ruined supplies are just that ruined supplies
theres no quality control if people aren't risking anything. It doesn't matter if you hand the supplies out locally or globally if you let them out of your hands you WILL NOT GET MOST OF THEM BACK even if you have a contract. We're talking little nails, threads, paper clips (stuff that gets easily lost believe me).

be back sometime soon with info for ya. Thanks for the reply.

p.s.

Theres a fine line between the need for funding and quality control in a world wide christian organization and "hiding behind Christianity and taking advantage of Christians". Do you agree with that?

If all the world wide christian organizations are doing this I think there are
more fake christians then anyone ever realized I'm not ready to point judgement on all of them. Are you?

As I see this "Christian issue" Its this: Take the gospel to all the world or dont cause some people are going to say you're a fake for needing quality control or funding.

The crosses come with a salvation message. They can be worn and handed out as well they really are a ministry too. Theres a slight added possibility he just decided like all christian ministies have to, either I'm going to take the gospel to the world by making this world wide or I'm not going to take the risk. 8-)

For true evangelical christians the later isn't acceptable

So they say. Maybe you can.

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

Although we may, from time to time, monitor or review discussions, postings and the like on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, we are under no obligation to do so.  We are not responsible or liable for any claim arising from the content of any such discussions or postings or for any error, defamation, libel, slander, omission, falsehood, obscenity, pornography, profanity, danger, or inaccuracy contained in any information contained within such locations on the Site.

In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
