I receive offers from time to time from NCFG representatives offering to buy mortages. From what I see, the company recruits representatives to search courthouse documents to find mortgages held by individuals. Then they offer to buy the mortages for a lump sum from the holder. From the standpoint of the mortgage holder, I must say that I have not found the offers to be substantial enough therefore I haven't sold any mortages to NCFG. That isn't to say that you couldn't find motivated sellers who would accept the offer.
If you want to work in this field, I suggest searching locally to find buyers who would be willing to work with prospective sellers you bring to them. That way there is no need for any fancy software, just legwork.
