It looks bad when a Google search turns up multiple scam sites on the first page but I found one that delves a little deeper than the initial misrepresentation.

While the author initially makes the same scam claims on almost identical terms that other sites have, he has gotten some answers from Simplx. Yeah, I know that the entire thing stinks of CYA actions but I'll give J Andrew Morrison a chance to dig deeper before I outright call it a scam.
So a quick review of what is extremely easy to find on Simplx indicates that it is a scam, but some less obvious evidence may point to it being bad business practices brought on by ignorance of the law (which is still illegal but a slight step up from a scam).
