Hey Everyone,

The JDRF is the leading funder of Type 1 Diabetes research worldwide. As the father of a child with diabetes, I am desperate to see my little girl set free from the burden of this disease. She was diagnosed on January 13, 2003, just three weeks after her third birthday. In her short life, she has endured over 6,000 finger-pricks for checking her blood sugar, and over 4,000 shots. There have been many frightening times, and there's always the looming shadow of the long-term complications---including nerve damage, kidney disease, eye damage (retinopathy), and cardiovascular disease.

Here's the good news: A cure is within reach! In fact, scientists are predicting that we can expect to see a cure well within our lifetime! To see my baby cured of diabetes would be the dream beyond my wildest dreams come true.

Now, more than ever, you can make a crucial difference! Won't you please give as generously as you can? No amount is too small....Even the smallest donation will move us that much closer to making the cure a reality!
