Hello Joanne,
Some of the best online businesses are merely an extension of an existing business that has expanded it's hours of operation and eliminating some of the geographical restrictions.
My business is a real world, "Brick & Mortar" business that I enlarged by adding a "Bits & Clicks" division. My online customers order many of the same products I sell to gov't, corporate, and "mom & pop" buyers in my local & regional markets.
As Steve asked previously, what are your interests, business skills, hobbies, etc? Work with something that you already know, and your survival fator will increase.
