Posted By: Jim Wilson In Response To: Imc's Ebay course is terrible. Get a refund! (Michael)

Let's evaluate the value of Mike's post here:
Mike - "It's completely useless, because Ebay's harder to profit on now with so many people using it."
Yes, Mike, it is a terrible thing when more potential consumers flock to one place online. More people ARE using it - to shop. They are learning to trust the idea of shopping online and eBay is a favorite venue.
Mike - "Not to mention Ebay is always increasing their commissions on every sale, this makes it a lot less profitable."
Even when eBay raises their rates a little the potential is still so great that it is still a bargain. I challenge you, Mike, or anyone else for that matter. Find ANY venue online or off and spend less than $2.00 to get your ad potentially viewed by millions of potential buyers. It cannot be done. Once again Mike, great thought process but wayyyyyy off base.
Mike - "The course would have been more useful in 1997. Spending hundreds of dollars now on a course about Ebay should be considered a crime. Online auctions are yesterdays news. Stick with online merchandising and be highly cautious of short cuts being sold as informational products. If the information was so great, why would anyone sell it when they could use it? Think about it."
The crime lay in the realm that unfortunately any zipperhead with an opinion can post and might be able to convince others that their stance is accurate. I myself sold my ebooks because it was shared info with me and I was passing it forward. My ebook in which I was interviewed, "Jim Wilson's eBay Secrets", is an online best seller. The whole reason the Internet exist is to share info. Some people just figured out that sharing valuable info might earn an income.
Mike - "Just my 02 cents."
And that is just about what Mike's opinion about the IMC course is worth.
Folks...
Online packages can be extremely valuable. They can and do often lead to incredible online success. But you MUST put the info to work. Poor Mike here missed the whole point. He is likely one of those people who believed that he could simply buy an info product and start going out to his mailbox to take the checks out.
Online work means just that and LOTS of it. eBay is not any different.
Is it hard to find an eBay niche'? Yes, it is.
Is it impossible? No, not at all. One of my co-workers at the FD just started selling auto racing items and is doing quite well.
About the only thing that showed any intelligence in Mike's post is that he is going to get a refund. This is indeed for the best because frankly I don't think he has what it takes to succeed on eBay. You MUST be willing to learn from the package, put the learned info to work, and then start that whole process all over again.

PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT. It has been done before, but never successfully. In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace. NEWS FLASH: I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday. I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish. I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?). I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!" Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures. In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact. And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!). |
