That's what I thought, but their email states: "According to Can Spam Act, it requires that commercial email be identified as an advertisement.... It also must include your valid physical postal address. PO box is not sufficient according to anti-spam regulations."
A newsletter or email that someone opted into is still "commercial email" -- but it is definitely not UNSOLICITED commercial email.
I was sure they would make that distinction, but they didn't. (I did, in my reply, and I'm waiting to hear back from them.)

That's why I'm COMPLETELY confused by this whole thing. I thought they didn't send ANY unsolicited email. I thought if you wanted to use GetResponse, you HAD to follow the rules and send only opt-in email.
