I had an idea for a biz idea. I was thinking about how many times I have been to a restaurant or a store and got treated like dirt or had lousy service. Here's an example; when a cashier is taking coupons and they start digging through your bags to find the item. I think that's rude. They should just look at the register tape.
There is a site www.angieslist.com and she charges a subscription fee for consumers to read reviews about businesses. I would like to do a similar thing. She only works with contractors. I would like to be open to any type of business. My concept would be to allow people to post horrible customer service stories. I wouldn't alter the post in any way. The consumer could post for free. Many people get angry but don't feel like complaining to management or writing a company letter. So they have no way to vent, they could vent this way.
I would only allow professional posts. They couldn't just say things like "Walmart Sucks". They would have to actually write a detailed letter about their horrible experience. For example, I was at Walmart and the employee ignored me while at her register because she was on her cell phone discussing dinner plans. (True Story)
Here is what I am wondering: How could I generate income other than selling ad space? I could charge the businesses a subscription fee and forward the complaints to the business (with the customer's permission) and the business could work with the customer for a resolution... Please give me thoughts and ideas about this type of site. I am also under the understanding that as long as I don't alter the posts with any editing, I wouldn't be liable for their posts.
