with purchased microsites, but I know people who do.
The reports I hear are that the good ones make "a few dollars a day," and this is from people who have tons of experience and really know how to promote their sites.
I know a couple of people who are very experienced, promote relentlessly, and have yet to reach their goal of $1 a day per site.
I have heard of one site that makes $60 a day, but it's humongous and its owner is a marketing genius.
In my case, on the sites where I have well-targeted Google Adsense and fairly big, busy sites (not the "micro" variety), it takes MULTIPLE-HUNDRED-THOUSAND exposures each month for every $500 I earn. (I can't be more specific because Google's Terms of Service don't allow it.)

I'm thinking of one person in particular, and the sites he buys cost about $17 each (certainly nothing you would be paying in installments... how much are these sites anyhoo?) (I went to awsm.com and it said the site was temporarily unavailable. Is that the correct URL?)

Okay, first of all, if they "promise" any certain returns (or even an estimate), they're lying. They can't possibly do that.
Also, there is absolutely no way to know if they'll ever get to the top of Google. You're competing with bzillions of people and skabillions of sites.

Excellent!!
I don't know how their sites compare with these, but check out the prices at NicheMania.com -- I'm not recommending you buy any, but the price comparison (and lack of income claims) will give you food for thought.

MaaMaw
P.S. IF YOU REPLY TO THIS MESSAGE... Please do *NOT* leave the text of my message at the bottom of your message. Something in it triggered the "naughty word" filter and I had to post it through the back door; if you leave it at the bottom of your reply, yours won't post either.

PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT. It has been done before, but never successfully. In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace. NEWS FLASH: I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday. I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish. I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?). I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!" Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures. In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact. And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!). |
