It doesn't bother me. Kami could have promoted something else to get the four sales. If an affiliate cannot get four sales in a few months, the affiliate is not putting enough effort in. It doesn't have to be four sales of the same product, just sales from four different states.
One of my gripes with clickbank is I have no control over affiliates for my products. (I know I can ban unknowns, but that opens a whole new can of worms.)
Last week I had an "affiliate" send me a few emails asking for help. He was asking for help because his links didn't work. The links in the emails worked, but the links in his pages didn't work.
After three emails to him I asked for his website URL so I could look at his page. A GeoCities account with a half-assed page made with MS FrontPage.
I know everyone has to start somewhere, so I try to be polite and helpful with these people, but this "affiliate" became aggressive and I cut him off.
Was it my fault he couldn't figure it out? Was it Clickbanks? Certainly not.
He just didn't have the web skills or the social skills to work it out.
I think Clickbank is a wonderful platform. Over 65% of my revenue comes in the form of Clickbank checks. There are things I'd like to see, but Clickbank has to cater to the lowest common denominator.
Clickbank does a great job of being accessable to people just starting out.

Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.
