Hi Lisa, I hate to bust anyone's bubble but the truth is if you are looking for someone to pay you to work from home on the internet your chances are slim to none. If you are a fast typist and are really computer savvy with the ability to learn new programs quickly then you do stand a small chance of being hired as a full time assistant to a Internet Marketer. But for most of us (including me) that just isn't going to happen.
However. . . You can learn new skills and you can learn how to sell. You can make money using the Internet to sell your skills, services and products. But for most of us it isn't going to happen by promoting other peoples products and programs.
Your best shot at earning on the Internet in my opinion is to start by selling stuff on ebay. Then learn how to create and sell your own products. Then create an affiliate program and let others sell your products for a piece of the action.
Is there anything you know or are good at that you can write about to create your own product?
For me it was writing about every little trick a photographer can use to make money photographing people and pets. I've sold hundreds of my self published book on ebay at $97 each. For my wife it was writing a little report and shooting a 43 minute video on how to earn $67 an hour building gift baskets for Realtors and Car Dealerships that launched her ebay sales.
I suggest you look to create your own opportunity rather than join someone else's. However it does pay to seek the help of others. It was smart for you to ask about Billy Briggs. I have never heard of him myself but a qoogle check shows he has a website at http://www.type-at-home.com/
His sales letter claims he has a simple way to make money typing online ads at home. Affiliates earn $67 per sale. But I don't buy his claims. Why? Well look at all the testimonials he gives but not one of them can be contacted to verify the claims. Why doesn't any of them give their contact number, email or a link to their website? Besides... if any company needs data entry typists why wouldn't they just call a temp agency?
I may be wrong about Mr. Billy Briggs but his story shouts nothing but to me.
Why not think of ways to employee yourself instead of looking for an opportunity to be employed?
Think Rich and Grow Rich. Think like an employee and you'll always be asking someone who thinks Big to think of ways for you to be employed. Think Rich and Employee Yourself! Think Bigger and employee others. You can get a lot of good ideas to act on from this forum and others like www.SowPub.com
If you want to sell on ebay there are several people here who can point you in the right direction. Check out the link MaaMaw gives to learning all about selling on ebay. If you are not sure what you are looking for. . . I invite you to check out these 3 tips.
1) First I invite you to visit the link under the photo at the bottom of this page of the bloke looking up at the pile of cash and then listen to the FREE THINK AND GROW RICH AUDIOS and do the free workbook!
2) Think and Grow Rich is good but it's still missing one vital thing. If you have already read Think And Grow Rich and still haven't grasped the message you may want to check out http://snipurl.com/SuccessFactor by Michael Ross.
3) Once you decide what it is you want to create for yourself . . . realize that you don't have to do it all by yourself. Master Mind with others and learn how to use the power of leverage. You may want to check out http://www.snipurl.com/sx08 also by Michale Ross.
Cheers,
Steve Shulenski

PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT. It has been done before, but never successfully. In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace. NEWS FLASH: I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday. I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish. I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?). I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!" Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures. Although we may, from time to time, monitor or review discussions, postings and the like on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, we are under no obligation to do so. We are not responsible or liable for any claim arising from the content of any such discussions or postings or for any error, defamation, libel, slander, omission, falsehood, obscenity, pornography, profanity, danger, or inaccuracy contained in any information contained within such locations on the Site. You are likewise prohibited from posting any false claims against any company or individual. We will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity of anyone posting any such information or materials. By posting messages and/or content on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, you give permission for Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications to display, distribute and use the posting and content for publication, advertising, promotion, excerption or example. If you cannot accept or agree with the terms of service for this website and discussion board, you are advised not to post on this board. In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact. And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!). |
