The Good & Bad About the Rich Jerk Ebook

Posted By: Mr Bluto ^_^

In Response To: Rich Jerk (Harcortm)

Good:

- Many of the techniques and other things are legit, however some are considered black hat (unethical) to some degree.

For instance, one thing he suggests is to use a search engine cloaking software which allows you to sort of trick the search engines so that you get high search engine rankings.

- All but one of the ways he tells you you can make money can actually make you money legally for sure.

- The Rich Jerk ebook has a nice PDF template.

Bad:

- There is one thing in his book that is a bunch of BS as far as I am concerned. He tells you that he makes money from "investing" in those High Yield "programs" which are shady at best and can cause you to lose your shirt(and most likely will). His advice to invest in these programs is very irresponsible and personally, I don't believe he actually does it himself (which ties into the last point below).

- Most of the stuff I have already heard of. And you probably did, too. For instance, making money with AdSense and using AdWords to get traffic to the AdSense sites (which is no longer a very profitable thing to do as the market is saturated with people doing this. It can be profitable but it will take a lot of time finding low paying keywords that still produce good traffic for AdSense ad clicks).

- I think that somehow the sales page (at least the first one) made you think that he was going to go into depth on all the ideas and teach you how to actually start doing it. That's not the case. The book explains how to do nothing. It only mentions ways you can make money.

- At least one of the "ideas" is just BS in that it pretty much tells you to make a successful sight and sell it for big money. duh! Again, not much in the way of helping you to get started doing it, just that you can do it an some ways he did it. But nothing that would point in in a good direction to actually get started on doing it. OR, for instance, the high investment yield programs. He does not really tell you how help insure success with them. He just pretty much tells you that they work and where to go to find good ones (of course, which and affiliate link). Not very believable.

- The book is so short (it was just over 40 pages when I bought it when it first came out) that it just does to go into much detail on anything. The most detail, if I remember correctly, is the part on using AdWords to make money with AdSense, which, even at that point when the book was brand new, was already old news and not as lucrative as it once was and as he made it out to be.

- He makes it seem that things are so easy when in fact they aren't. For example, the search engine cloaking software. Many black hat SEO techniques, like search engine cloaking, are not as effective anymore without MUCH time and work. Search engine cloaking can still be done with success but it isn't as easy as it used to be. It's pretty much at the point where it takes just as much work to fool the search engines as it does to do everything by the book.

- He talks about drop shipping. Again, old news. But more importantly, not only is his info on the subject skimpy. I know a good bit about it and from what I can gather from his blurb on it, it's questionable whether he has much experience with it at all. And the sources he "reveals" are not only easily found but they are few and not the best for most beginners.

- The sales letter just makes you think you are getting more in-depth info than you really actually do get.

- On the average, he is not very credible as to whether or not he is as experienced and successful and as rich as he says he is. This is fortified with his affiliate links to supposed "best" products/programs. Affiliate links are not always all that bad, but when you already don't have much credibility, they kinda tend to help diminish the little credibility he does have. At least it does for me.

There are probably other "BAD's" but I think this is enough.

Is it worth the now $50? Maybe, but if I were you I would just....

oh, never mind. That's illegal.

It all depends on how much you know already. If you don't know much, it might be an OK purchase. I still say it's overpriced at $50 (I bought it at $99).

^_^

BTW,

Sorry if some sentences don't make sense. I wasn't about to proofread it waste more time on that jerk. Afterall, he didn't proofread his ebook, why should I waste my freeeekin' time proofreading a review for his stupid ebook? ;)

I can be just as much of a jerk as he claims to be. In fact, probably much worse.

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

By posting messages and/or content on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, you give permission for Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications to display, distribute and use the posting and content for publication, advertising, promotion, excerption or example.         In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
