What exacly are you talking about? Are you referring to a specific post I made? Which one? Also, what "cause" are you talking about? I have no "cause", really, as far as I know. Maybe you are thinking about Roadie. He has a "cause" I guess you can say. But he is not so much worried about biz opp scams as much as he is with spammers (of any kind). So maybe you are thinking about someone else?
What do I do about biz opp scams? Well, for one thing, I avoid them since I have common sense and therefore I can spot a scam pretty well. I also never buy anything on the net without a credit card.
And if I see someone asks about a scam here or elsewhere that I know something about then I post what I know to help them to not get burned or to help them in some other way. That's really about it. I'm not a cop.
I don;t post about biz opp scams that I don't know anything even remotely about. That's why you don't see me post much to any threads about, say, 12dailyPro or whatever it is called. Not only do I have little clue as to what it is all about but from what I do know it is pretty common sense that it is something to avoid. Nothing more to say on the matter. I don't understand how people can get caught up in scams like that. It's so obvious.
I have been scammed before in the past, but from folks who claim they are goinfg to do something specific or give me specific info and never do. That's pretty much it. I have never been scammed by anything or anyone with a HYIP or anything like htat because I know better than to even bother with that kind of stuff.
I'm not dogging those that do get caught up in this stuff, but I really don;t understand how they coudl get caught up in it when, to me, it is so obvious that it is a scam. Oh well. Different folks for different strokes, I suppose. Glad I'm not one of them ;).
Some people are so desparate that they will make themselves believe anything. BUt then there are those that are so clueless that they will buy into anything and they will do it over nad over again. You can't help these folks. They seem to like to get scammed so that they can feel sorry for themselves for whatever reason. I think, anyhow.

PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT. It has been done before, but never successfully. In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace. NEWS FLASH: I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday. I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish. I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?). I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!" Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures. You are likewise prohibited from posting any false claims against any company or individual. If you cannot accept or agree with the terms of service for this website and discussion board, you are advised not to post on this board. In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact. And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!). |
