Is this common practice for most domain sellers

9.4 Restrictions on transfer. You agree that you may not transfer your domain registration to another domain registrar during the first sixty (60) days from the effective date of your: 1) initial domain registration or 2) completion of a domain transfer into 000Domains If you choose to utilize our transfer lock service, you agree to provide written authorization (electronic acceptance is acceptable) to 000Domains for the transfer of the domain to another registrar and agree to pay any and all fees that may be charged by 000Domains to effect the transfer. Your request to transfer to another registrar may be denied in situations described in the Dispute Policy, including, but not limited to; a dispute over the identity of the domain holder; bankruptcy; and default in the payment of any fees.

If I understand this, if I don't choose to host with them, then my domain will sit parked with some kind of message like "Coming Soon" OR does it mean I can not change the domain from 000Domains to another domain seller. I need an eye dr now- why do they make the TOS so darned hard to read, I know so no one will read them and they get you when things go south lol.

I have decided to go with 000domains.com, depending on the above answer. I'm going with ALLwebco to host. I can buy CarlaBall.com and StainedglassbyCarla.com for $27.00 each for 2 years. Earthlink wanted 4.95 a month (60 bucks a year) each PLUS $25.00 set up and a $40 fee for first timers.

Allwebco is $25.00 a year for each. I still have more fine print to read, to see how much a transfer fee is from 000domains.com-

I appreciate all of you being so kind to help me get this going. I am buying now and will not really set it up for a few weeks. My kitchen needs the granite 12 x 12's laid down for the counter tops- Maamaw- scary is cutting on a piece of $15.00 a piece of stone. You can't buy just one- you have to buy the whole box. A vcr is a breeze. I have a wet saw and have done ceramic many times, so if one is wrong you spend a couple bucks and buy another. As I digress here. I REALLY need to finish my studio or I won't need a website, lol. Carla

BTW- laptop owners - why is it when you have a band aid on your index finger, the one I use for my touch pad, the cursor does not respond? Just curious

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

By posting messages and/or content on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, you give permission for Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications to display, distribute and use the posting and content for publication, advertising, promotion, excerption or example.         In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
