I don't read Armand and I don't listen to country music, but I *HAVE* noticed that it's no big trick for an Internet guru with a following of a few thousand to have an Amazon product hit #1 for awhile.
This doesn't mean it's a good product or that it's got any staying power. What it does mean is that this marketer has an active downline list of thousands who will buy any recommendation that shows up on the list.
The marketer will then say "ha! See? My book or product is #1!!! This means that my advice is more golden than the advice of Warren Buffett and that Buffett is a has-been who doesn't know how to create wealth! I p@wn the system!!! I rule!!! Tell your friends!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
And people will run out and buy the phenominon because they too want to p@wn Warren Buffett and they know that if they just beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelieeeve (because the guru said to) and work the system like the guru says, they'll see Buffett standing on the corner with a sign saying "will do stock markets for food" as they drive past in their fully-loaded Hummer.

Exactly. And after the feeding frenzy is gone, you'll find that the guy gets no airtime on radio (this is where big bucks are) and has no albums in stores (because he's garage band quality but can't compare to, say, Willie Nelson.)
There's a difference between a marketer with a huge downline creating a feeding frenzy in that downline and a marketer creating a feeding frenzy in the world marketplace.
