Doesn't that defeat the purpose of writing an article in the first place -- either to get traffic or to get paid? Unless they pay a whole lot, I don't see the attraction for anyone to write an article and place it there.

You'd be surprised or horrified to find out how often this is violated. I don't know about business articles per se but I have seen a lot of other articles that have been lifted and re-attributed (with a few minor changes to the article.)
