I actually went back and read the post. MaaMaw deleted the thread that stated that, though.
Anyway, I admit that the post is not as much useless political spam as I initially though (big surprise seeing how the Tim is notorious for spamming the forum with political threads that are irrelevant to the forum topic. It's like the buy who cried wolf). I jumped the gun and thought it was just a totally useless political thread, as it normally is. My bad, but still, I feel I have a good point nonetheless.
Anyhow, I just don't see how they could enforce such a law. It makes no sense and it sounds like just another "sky is falling" "news" piece that drama seekers would fall all over. The kinda stuff you'll find in the National Inquirer.
The news industry is no different from Hollywood and if you know anything about entertaining the masses you'd know that you need to make it as dramatic as possible otherwise they will get bored and not even pay attention. That's why sales letters work so well and will never go away. People are used to drama. In fact, they demand it. The TV taught them how to be this way. That is the society in which we live.
