Almost *everything* can be found for free. THE QUESTION IS...

In Response To: Re: ebay programs (Pete Egeler)

HOW DO YOU WANT TO SPEND YOUR TIME?

If you want to spend weeks or months...

then free is probably the way to go.

For me personally, my choice is to buy the best information I can find where it has all been laid out for me step by step.

To each his own, of course.  My way doesn't work for everyone.  (It doesn't even work 100 percent for me because I *still* compulsively search for all the free information I can find, which has been my downfall because I keep getting off track; the best thing I could do would be to bury my nose in Corey's [IMC's] courses and keep it there, but for the same reason I count the stairs and eat M&M's in only odd numbers, I can't stop searching for more *more* MORE!).

I don't have any experience with John Reese's course; all I can do is tell you what IMC's course includes:

The main book is 237 pages that covers the following topics completely, THOROUGHLY, ***IN GREAT DETAIL***  (If you have Corey's Internet Marketing Course, you know this is where it shines:  at *NO* point does it leave you scratching your head and saying, "Hmmmmm, great idea; where do I start?", which is where every other course I have seen drops the ball.)

In case you're wondering, I've included page numbers to make a point:

Most "How To eBay" books and courses cover these topics in one way or another; some focus more heavily on certain points, but they at least mention all (or most) of the above... sometimes devoting a paragraph or even a couple of pages to the topic.

This course includes *COMPREHENSIVE TRAINING* on EVERY SINGLE TOPIC.

One more thing before we move on:

A complaint I've heard often is that Corey's Internet Marketing Course (also proudly promoted here at FIB) has lots of empty space on the pages.

NOT SO!

This book is written in a normal font (it appears to be Times Roman 12), and the pages are FULL.  (Actually, truth be told, there isn't any empty space in his Internet Marketing Course either -- not since the 1998 edition -- but the whine has lived on, and you know how I hate to nitpick.)

Moving right along...

Of course they've included a 22-page "Quick-Start Guide":

Also in the package are all of the following goodies:

And last but certainly not least, a 9x12 envelope marked "TOP SECRET" and holding 17 "PowerSeller Secrets" printed on both sides of 17 sheets of card stock, including:

If you've followed my rantings for any time at all, you know I am a *GREAT* fan of The Late, Great Corey Rudl.  (Lest you think I follow blindly, you should know that I do NOT promote all of his products; only the ones I feel are magnificent beyond compare.)

I gather Corey was a bit of a daredevil, and he trained his staff well.  If anything ever happened to him, he wanted to be sure the company survived -- and survive it did.  In fact, as far as I can tell, it's SOARING.

This course is EVERY BIT AS GOOD as Corey would have done himself.

NO STONE is left unturned

NO DETAIL is left unexplained.

Lucky for you, I'm almost out of gas, but I do have one more thing to say, lest there be any misunderstanding:

I am *not* making big money on eBay.  I sell on eBay (1) when I need cash and (2) when I simply can't stand to do any of the other things I should be doing.  eBay is not something I enjoy that much, and my priorities have to be FIB and AmericaZoo... so I dabble.

However, I'm smart enough to know *great* when I see it, and just the tiny snippets of advice I have incorporated into my auctions -- which, interestingly, are contrary to what scads of experts recommend -- have had an *extremely* positive effect on my eBay dabbling.

IMHO, the course I promote on this site is second to none.  IMC stands behind its guarantee, no questions asked, and it is my personal opinion that one would have to be in a coma not to learn enough to make the postage worthwhile, and that is literally all you risk by trying it.

Luv,

MaaMaw

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

Although we may, from time to time, monitor or review discussions, postings and the like on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, we are under no obligation to do so.  We are not responsible or liable for any claim arising from the content of any such discussions or postings or for any error, defamation, libel, slander, omission, falsehood, obscenity, pornography, profanity, danger, or inaccuracy contained in any information contained within such locations on the Site.
You are prohibited from posting or transmitting any unlawful, threatening, libelous, defamatory, obscene, scandalous, inflammatory, pornographic, or profane materials or any material that could constitute or encourage conduct that would be considered a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or otherwise violate any law.  You are likewise prohibited from posting any false claims against any company or individual.  We will fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity of anyone posting any such information or materials.
By posting messages and/or content on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, you give permission for Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications to display, distribute and use the posting and content for publication, advertising, promotion, excerption or example. You grant Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications complete, perpetual, but non-exclusive rights to use, archive, reproduce, adapt, modify, distribute, sub-license, repurpose, rework, compile, or offer for sale or resale the messages, postings or content appearing on this site in whole or in part, throughout the world and universe, on a royalty-free basis without remuneration.  If you cannot accept or agree with the terms of service for this website and discussion board, you are advised not to post on this board.
In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
