First thanks for taking the time and reading this.
I cureently have a sales company which provides merchant accounts to business. In trying to get into doors i am always looking for additional products or services to add. So here goes:
I am in talks with a company which will guarantee post dated checks allowing businesses to offer 60 day same as cash. For instance if I need $1,000 worth of work am under/uninsurred, and perhaps can't use carecredit due to poor credit. I can write a check today for $400, and then a post dated checks for $300 at day 30 and 60. Once the check is approved, if it comes back returned, stop payment, closed account, etc, the practice is still guaranteed funding.
It seems to me to be a non brainer to any dental practice. I understand it is not meant to take the place of a GE capital, care credit, but it seems like a nice service to offer potential patients.
The only significant drawback to me is the check that is post dated for 30 days will not be funded for 30 days. 60 days, 60 days, etc.
I would love to get some feedback on this. Thanks in advance.
Cost breakdow:
$30 Month Equipment
$10 Monthly Services Fee
Approximately 2.0% of the amount of the check which is comparable to the cost of a credit card transaction
Other vertical markets I would target will include vets, auto repair, furniture, etc.
