I just wanted to post an update here on something my wife and I decided to try... For FAR too long, we've been disgusted with the general lack of good customer service pretty much across the board. We're often amazed at how people are able to keep their jobs, and we finally decided to take an active role in helping to improve things.

Anyway, I signed us up with about four different Mystery Shopping companies and within a couple days had our first three assignments. We shopped two retail establishments last night and had a great time doing it. It was like playing make believe or spying. Either way - it was cool! :-)

Each one took us 15-20 minutes, and then another 10 minutes each to submit the reports. We got paid $10 each which isn't much but it gets our feet wet. I have another one to do tomorrow night - I have to go shopping for a computer. It pays $11 and says it should only take 15 minutes.

Once we do a few, and establish a good record with each company, the number of assignments and pay should both increase.

Oh, and no, I did not pay a single penny to get these assignments. I didn't buy any "lists" or "memberships" to get access to companies who hire mystery shoppers. Just a little googling was all it took.
