In Response To: Incredible.... (Jim Wilson)

Hey Jim, you think that telling someone, "I don't see success in your future" is advice? You people view yourselves as scholarly armchair professors of small business, when in fact all the majority of you do is shoot people's ideas down and spend the majority of your time on this board doing just that instead of getting out there and building real businesses. You're the equivalent of an elementary school clique who make fun of everyone else to take the focus off your own shortcomings. As for Bluto's and everyone else's bull about working a 60-80 work week to be successful, that is the comment of someone who does not know how to spend their time wisely. If you can't spend 4-6 hours a day selling your products or services and consistently earning a good living, you don't have what it takes be in business/sales (hopefully some people on here realize that the two are the same thing). I'll agree with Bluto and gladly pay him on Thursday with respect to the fact that you should go get a job if you're not going to make more money for your time by working for yourself. To say, however, that you need to invest 60-80 hours a week to cut it is clearly the words of someone who can't close deals and bring in business. If you can't close enough deals in 40 hours to make a living, you're not going to do it in 60, 80 or 1,000 hours, which seems to be the real reason why you're working a part-time job and wasting your time on this board, Bluto.
As for the wrong-again regulars here who think I was here to promote something, WRONG AGAIN! I wanted to see how newbies get treated when they come to this board for the first time. Congratulations, as most of you have all lived up to your horrible reputations by stomping on someone who was looking for help when they asked questions that didn't meet the standards of the "armchair professors".
Fact is, I own a business, I do well, and anyone who thinks that buying into a business opportunity is the way to make money for themselves is wrong.
Start your businesses based on your own ideas, stop talkng about it on here, learn how to sell/close, and stop wasting your time on this board. Listening to the regulars on this board will only help you suceed in talking yourselves out of your ideas. Every idea and business concept has holes in it somewhere. It's how those challenges are dealt with that will determine if your business will succeed or fail.
I came to this board after speaking with someone who told me how this forum shoots every idea down and has a negative impact on aspiring entrepreneurs. I didn't initially believe that a board called "Friends In Business" would actually be comprised of such negative people. Thank you all for living up to your very accurate reputations.
Night, night and feel free to respond and say whatever you want from this point on as I've now seen what this board is and I will not waste another second here, as my time is actually quite valuable. Thank God I'm not actually a newbie who came here for advice.

NOTICE TO SCUMBEEZLES
(you know who you are... you scream "Foul!" when the truth comes out)
PLEASE READ THIS LEGAL NOTICE CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU FILE A LAWSUIT OR EVEN WASTE TIME THINKING ABOUT IT.  It has been done before, but never successfully.  In fact, the last dodobird who tried it ended up being ordered to pay more than $77,000 in attorney fees ($65,000+ to my attorneys and $12,000+ to my co-defendant's legal advisor).
If your attorney is worth his salt, he's going to tell you that the expense of filing a lawsuit you can't win is a whole lot worse than any "damages" resulting from messages posted on this insignificant little chunk of cyberspace.
NEWS FLASH:  I didn't just climb down off that ol' turnip truck yesterday.  I'm well aware that expressing a negative opinion, relating one's personal experience, and restating provable facts are all legal in this country and do not constitute libel, slander, or defamation -- so you don't want to play games with me, and you sure don't want to start something you aren't prepared to finish.  I don't take threats lightly, and I don't accept bribes (or did you call it a "mutually-beneficial arrangement"?).  I'll turn you in faster than you can yell, "ARREST ME, I'M SCUM!!"
Do yourself a favor and turn your legal team loose in greener pastures.

By posting messages and/or content on the Friends In Business (Scams 101) Message Board, you give permission for Lesley Fountain/Friends In Business/Shoestring Success Publications to display, distribute and use the posting and content for publication, advertising, promotion, excerption or example.         In closing, I would like to remind you once again that it is still legal, in this great country of ours, to express a PERSONAL OPINION, as long as it is presented as opinion and not as fact.
And finally, all you scammers out there will do well to remember that TRUTH IS AN ABSOLUTE DEFENSE against charges of libel, defamation, and slander... so if you're operating just a hop, skip, and jump ahead of the law, you might want to think twice before doing anything stupid... (AND SHAME ON YOU!!).
