You could upgrade BSafe. They automatically inform you when definitions are available and let you choose to download now or later. You can set to automatically scan the computer in the middle of the night every night if you want. Technical support over the phone is free (except for the long distance charges - but at 5 cents a minute you could talk for an hour and it would cost you $3. That's about 10% of Norton's minimum charge.) They have never forced a reboot after downloading. Norton has forced reboots more than once and does not give you the option of choosing now or later so you lose whatever you are doing. Talk about invasive and infuriating!
