I bought BeSafeOnline instead of NetNanny (which I hated with a purple passion).
I guess I didn't read the fine print, because I had no CLUE it did anything else!
I am SO disgusted with myself. I've always used Norton and it's been fine once I got it under control. (I'm still taming the newest version of the beast.)
Instead of renewing my LiveUpdate subscription, I decided to pay $25 more for a brand new version, since with the $20 rebate, it was only costing me $5 higher than renewing LiveUpdate.
I kept everything I thought I needed to get the darn rebate... so today I went to fill it out and it seems the "proof of purchase" isn't what I thought it was. In this case, they will only accept the "inside flap" of the box (which is NOT what I kept) so now I've paid $25 extra for a program that's done nothing but cause problems so far.
No, I don't have the nerve to take it back to Costco without a box -- especially since they would think I got the rebate! -- although Costco is incredibly generous with refunds and would probably take it.
RATS and DOUBLE RATS!!
Y'know, I don't think I've ever actually RECEIVED the promised rebate in my entire life.
I take that back. I did get one... but I forgot to cash the check til after it expired.
