Perp tracking and embarassment

In ten years of tracking and educating hundreds of MMF (Make Money Fast) perps, I had about five of them use their WORK addresses in the chain to receive the loot. One was a chiropractor in Chicago who shared an office with his father. Finding the phone number was trivial, and the Dad was "not amused" to hear that the professional board of licensing was about to receive a ethics complaint on his son.

The spam ceased, and the doctor looked me up six years later to thank me for setting him straight and dropping the complaint that could have been a blot on his record.

Dozens of parents were also shocked to hear that their kids were posting their home address on the Internet. Amazing what a reverse directory can find when you punch in a street address, about half the time you can actually get a phone number.

Not that I'm a miscreant, but I only did three drive-bys in that time, when the perp was in a town I lived near or visited on a trip. Take a picture of the perp's house, post it on a web site with the MMF spam, and then email the URL to the perp. They get the hint real fast that spamming is a bad idea when you include your identity and location at the crime scene.
