Hey Folks,
This evening I received an email to one of my "odd" email addresses (an address that I don't use and only gets SPAM) and I wanted to come here to warn you all about this one. It's actually pretty clever.
They basically started out telling me that they were interested in my signing on as an affiliate for their new business program/plan. They have a full website all about this new business and it all looks legit. But when you read the fineprint they don't really have anything to market.
In order to sign on as an affiliate marketer naturally you have to provide:
Name
Address
Phone Number
SS or Tax ID Number
Website Address
This all seems to be legit doesn't it? But...
They are located in Taiwan.
They didn't have any real products and the site was vague in regards to what you would be advertising.
They SPAMMED me to an address that doesn't get any other emails other than from trash SPAMMERS.
They didn't require an application; only that you complete the "Registration Form".
DO NOT FALL FOR THIS ONE FOLKS!
If you are considering signing on with any affiliate deal don't make it one that spams you, don't make it one that you don't know about, and don't EVER give up your info to any website without checking everything out thoroughly first.
By the way I don't have the website URL they sent me. But no matter....if you receive an affiliate offer via a spam this alone should make you think twice about signing on.
