I'm excited that you're thinking about getting involved in selling information products. They can be easy to create, even easier to produce (without having to have a lot of inventory), and the profit margins are huge. It's a great way to help people and make money at the same time.
My first recommendation for an Information Product Course is Dan Kennedy's Info-Riches Seminar Course. I think the exact title is "Dan Kennedy's Complete A-Z Information Publishing & Advanced Direct Marketing Business System". The Basic is $995 and the Deluxe is $1,370. Highly Recommended.
If you'd like to check out who Dan Kennedy is first, you can pick up any of his books at your local bookstore. One good read (especially for an info-marketer) is How to Make Millions With Your Ideas.
Most Internet marketing courses have a chapter or section on coming up with information product ideas. I'd recommend Corey Rudl's Insider Secrets to Marketing Your Business on the Internet. You can find out more about it on this website at:

If you need a good info-product idea, Jeff Smith has a great product called How to Create Infoproducts. I (Jeff Gardner) have a product that's called The Ultimate Million Dollar Idea Generator. A simple Google search can find both products.

P.S. I almost forgot. One of the cheapest educations you can get is to simply watch and model successful information marketers. You can learn a lot by watching information marketers in action. I buy a bunch of infoproducts each year - and always, ALWAYS pick up new, interesting, effective ideas for growing my information publishing company.
