The fact of the matter is that the post(S) WAS inappropriate.
When one visits a forum, it just makes good sense to READ A FEW POSTS to get a flavor of the place. Then, post accordingly.
This mess started with two(? yeah, right! - I don't care what your research has come up with, Maamaw, this is probably what your intuition said it was in the first place!) people who pretended to be awake in the middle of the night having a conversation about the value of assistance for their kids from LC.
Now, these late night exchanges happen all the time. I've been involved in a few myself.
But this is a forum and a site about avoiding scams. What happens here is that people seek guidance on stuff they're considering, offer help on various related problems - computer help, how do I make the title dance, say hit to friends, etc. People develop respect for each other, and come to feel close - at least close enough to check out posts by their favorite people.
Any fool could have figured out that it was not a good enough target group to introduce LC by pretending to a conversation. They (she, he and/or it) stuck out like a sore thumg - misspelling intentional.
Then to compound the offense, they patently refused to accept what several people pointed out to them - multiple postings from the same IP by presumed different people were regarded by forum owners as an attempt to use the forum for their own advertising purposes.
Y'all been WAAAAAAAY too tolerant. I clicked on their 'contact' form to tell them that I personally was p* o*ed. It didn't work.
My next move will probably be to write to their hosts. You know. Those folk who own provide their space, and the company who provides the folk who provide their space, and the folk who . . . .in other words, raise hell and put a chunk under it so I can keep it up a while!
(Jeesh! What provokes an idiot to be so arrogant and ignorant as to think that somehow he-she-and/or it has a right to use any forum as they see fit! It's like crashing a party and taking it over to sell whatever!)
Like I said. Y'all are too nice. Some of us ain't to be messed with.
